KidzMat® was developed by parents with kids in Kindergarten, coaching Tball and who needed to get them and their gear organized, and in proper order, during games. It was literally like herding cats prior to KidzMat®! A system was needed to keep them in their batting order and a way to keep up with them and their equipment individually. This was the birth of the original KidzMat® concept. As the kids progressed to baseball and other sports such as soccer and lacrosse, where they would sit on a bench, the back pouch was added to help them keep up with and store their gear.

KidzMat® promotes fun, sportsmanship, and elemental organization for youth team sports and activities. It allows the kids to enjoy the sport or activity and focus on learning rather than where they should be and keeping up with their things. It also allows the coach to coach and the parents to enjoy watching their kids play rather than constantly having to keep up with them and their things.

KidzMat® can also be used in other activities where children, or grown ups for that matter, need to keep up with their things and there are requirements to keep individual's belongings separate and organized. For example, it can be used in kids school and aftercare programs.

KidzMat Global Enterprises, LLC, the manufacturer and producer of KidzMat® and is headquartered in Dallas, Texas. It is owned by Gretchen and Hal Rose, who continue to use KidzMat® in their local YMCA and other youth sports organization activities.
